CIT Client Information System - CIS
Client Information System Updates:
We have made some minor changes to the Client Information System (CIS) with a new URL <cis.firstcitizens.com> and updated logo and banner. The previous cis.cit.com URL automatically redirects to the new cis.firstcitizens.com URL. You can update your bookmarks/favorites.
If you are using MS Edge, you may recall modifying your browser settings to utilize IE Compatibility Mode for https://cis.cit.com. You will need to add this new https://cis.firstcitizens.com URL to the compatibility mode list as well to ensure full CIS functionality.
- Locate the three dots at the upper far right in the browser header to open the "Settings and more" panel.
- Select "Settings" (with the gear icon) toward the bottom of the list.
- Select "Default browser" in the middle of the list.
- From here you should see the "Internet Explorer compatibility" options to allow sites to be reloaded in IE mode and/or add IE mode pages. Add "https://cis.firstcitizens.com" to the list.

Systems Hours of Operation -
The online Client Information System (CIS) is available 7:00AM - 9:00PM Eastern time, every day, including weekends and holidays.
The Client Internet Reporting system is also available every day, including weekends and holidays, and is always accessible 24 hours a day.
CIS Access and Security Information -
For both client and CIT security, we strive to protect against unauthorized access.
- You must actually key your User Name and Password.
- Your user account will lock upon three failed logon attempts.
- Sharing CIS user ids and passwords is strongly discouraged.
If you are locked out or need a password reset, contact the Client Support Services Help Desk. We will verify your user account, including your email address, and the system will automatically generate and email a new password.
If multiple users in your company access CIS we will be happy to setup as many user accounts as necessary.
